
SMART Local 55 Celebrates Graduation of Apprenticeship Class
Spokane, WA – SMART Local 55 recently honored the achievements of apprentices completing their 5-year apprenticeship program. The new journeymen were honored at the March 20th Spokane union meeting. Local 55 highlighted the exceptional skills and dedication of the newest journeymen, each proudly displaying their custom-crafted sheet metal footballs—an emblematic final project showcasing their training, precision, and craftsmanship.
“This milestone marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and determination,” said JATC Coordinator Josh Mazzella. “These graduates represent the very best of our industry, and we are excited to see them thrive as they continue their careers.”
Each graduate spent five years learning critical industry skills through hands-on training and classroom education, preparing them for successful careers in HVAC, fabrication, installation, and custom sheet metal work. Local 55 continues its commitment to excellence, ensuring skilled tradespeople for the future of the region’s construction industry.
