NW Sheet Metal Worker Health Care Plan Notice
Notice to participants of the NW Sheet Metal Worker Health Care Plan. The Trust has made temporary changes towards the impacts of the Corona virus. Please look for notification from the trust office on the following topics.
Waiver of any out-of-pocket costs associated with testing for COVID-19 for both PPO and non-PPO providers. This would include both the cost of the test as well as office visits or other provider charges related to the testing. Treatment of COVID-19 would still be subject to applicable cost sharing and PPO/non-PPO benefits depending on the provider’s status.
Suspension of any prior authorization requirement for treatment or testing of COVID-19.
A one-time early refill on prescription drugs, with the exception of certain controlled substances.

News and Announcements
We will be having a Special Order of Business at our January 20th, 2022 union meeting for purposes of voting to open our expiring contract (5/31/2022) for renegotiation. This will be a single item only Special Order of Business along with our normal monthly union meeting.
Reminder: The Tri-City area membership meeting for November will be held in Yakima, Washington at the same location as in past years; The Oxford Suites, 1701 E. Yakima Avenue, Yakima WA 98901 on Thursday, November 18th, 2021 with the meeting starting at 6 pm.
Starting on January 1st, 2022 Washington State will begin a .0058% payroll tax on all W-2 workers unless you have other qualified long term care coverage prior to November 1, 2021 and request an exemption beginning October 1, 2021 through December 31, 2022.
