Federal tax credits are creating thousands of union jobs for SMART members across the country. We need members to send a pre-written letter to Congress and tell them: Stand with SMART members. Protect these tax credits. Protect our jobs.
Information on the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)
The IRA was passed in 2022 with components that incentivizes economic growth and investment under the IRS tax code. Since the IRA has tax credits tied to Labor standards it creates favorable environment for the union construction industry and SMART/Sheet Metal Workers.
