Building Fishing Access For The Next Generation | The Hood Park Project
The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance takes you through the journey of a recent project at Hood Park in Burbank, Washington where volunteers worked to improve fishing access for their community.
Volunteers from local unions including IBEW, SMART, LiUNA, UA, OPCMIA, and Ironworkers came together; united in their efforts to build two new fishing piers.

Apprenticeship Volunteers
Recently SMART Local 55 Sheet Metal apprentices have been partnering with Pasco Fire Department, to help out some local community members by making their homes more accessible.
Second Harvest Donation
Local 55 members have once again demonstrated their steadfast commitment to aiding those in need, this time focusing on the victims of the Oregon and Gray Rd. fires. Their generous donation of $599 to Second Harvest, a vital organization supporting families in distress, speaks volumes about the solidarity and compassion defining Local 55.

SMART Local 55 Apprentices were highlighted for building and installing duck blinds in the Mid Columbia River National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Presented at the Union Sportsman’s Alliance BC/TC Conservation Dinner.
