Apprenticeship Application Information
Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to qualify for an interview:
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Have a 12th Grade education with diploma or certified equivalency (G.E.D.).
- Must be physically capable of performing the work of the trade with or without reasonable accommodations
- Applicants must be able to get themselves to and from their worksites and the training facilities.
The recruitment, selection, employment and training of apprentices during their apprenticeship shall be without discrimination because of race, religion or sex.
All applicants who meet the basic qualifications and complete applications will be interviewed and rated. Apprentices will be selected in order of their ranking received from the interview and application.
PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE INTO THE PROGRAM, EACH INDIVIDUAL MUST PASS A PRE-HIRE DRUG SCREENING TEST.
EACH APPLICANT THAT IS ACCEPTED AS AN APPRENTICE WILL BE HIRED BY ONE OF THE LOCAL SHEET METAL/H.V.A.C. CONTRACTORS AT THE TIME OF INDENTURE.
